Their most legendary feud was against The Midnight Express (Bobby Eaton and Dennis Condrey, and later Stan Lane), managed by Jim Cornette. This rivalry is considered one of the most influential and exciting tag team feuds of the 1980s, producing numerous classic matches across Mid-South, WCCW, and Jim Crockett Promotions (NWA). The Fantastics also engaged in a notoriously violent series of matches against The Sheepherders, who later became The Bushwhackers.
This success led Rogers to numerous championships, including the NWA United States Tag Team Championship and the UWF World Tag Team Championship.
